The first lecture took place on Thursday, 6th Nov with a talk by Professor Paul Hart about our dwindling fish stocks.
Over 60 students attended the first lecture. Organiser, Deputy Headteacher Mr Squires was delighted with the turn out, he said:
“This is the third year that Denbigh has organised these lectures. They offer a fantastic opportunity for students to hear about scientific developments at the cutting edge. All the lecture topics have been chosen carefully so that they build on, and extend elements of the GCSE and A Level programmes of study.
The lectures are not just for Denbigh students, however, invitations have also gone out to other secondary schools in Milton Keynes so all students at this level can benefit.”
