the Aims of Denbigh School...
Our Mission Statement
"Creating a culture of success to extend lifetime opportunities
for young people."
A Specialist Technology College
"Using the latest educational technology to raise student
attainment."
The School is committed to using the opportunities afforded by specialist
technology status to raise the attainment of all students at the School.
During
the 10 years of specialist status the School has enhanced its Information and
Communication Technology facilities to include 9 computer rooms, 60 workstations
in the Independent Learning Centre and a dedicated Sixth Form Study Area comprising
28 workstations.
Computer technology supports the teaching
and learning of every student in subjects across the curriculum, from students
using the Apple Mac suite in Graphics to Music students who have a state of the
art Music Technology Recording and Editing suite at their disposal.
The School’s 365 desk top computers and 150 laptop computers allow students
to process information relating to their studies and have high speed access to
educational material and the Internet.
The School’s ratio of one
computer to every three students is considerably higher than the national average.
