The programme of careers education begins in Year 7 and continues
until the student leaves school.
The careers library is well resourced
and software programmes such as ‘Odyssey’, ‘b_live’ and ‘Ecctis’ are
available for use by students in helping them make realistic assessments of careers
which may be available to them.
Students can also access a range of careers
information via the School’s Intranet.
The careers Library is
is in the ILC. It is open from 8.00am to 5.00pm daily.
Videos are available on various jobs. The ODYSSEY programme
is available on the computers in the ILC.
You can use pages in your homework diary to target set and
plan your career.

Denbigh has recently been
awarded Careers Library funding in order to develop its facilities even further.

Students participate in a work experience programme in Year 10 during which
they will undertake two weeks work experience out of school.

Connexions
Denbigh is part of the Connexions Programme – a Government support service
for all young people aged 13-19 in England.
The service aims to provide
an integrated approach to delivering free and confidential information, advice,
guidance and access to personal development opportunities for all young people,
with the aim of helping them to make a smooth transition to adulthood and working
life.
