Show Racism the Red Card Competition
[ 25th April 2008]
On Thursday 24th April Rebecca Price and her family visited Arsenal's Emirates Stadium for the final judging of this year's competition, where her work was competing against schools and students from around the country.
Denbigh is pleased to announce that Rebecca's poem was awarded second place.
There will be photos from the occasion to follow, so please check back.
Well done, Rebecca
[ April 2008]
News has recently reached me from Mr Sulley that Rebecca's poem was awarded the overall winner for all the MK Schools that entered.
Her poem will now go on to the National Finals which will entail an arduous trip to the Emirates Stadium in Londo.
Well done Rebecca.
[ March 2008]
The Denbigh School winners of the annual Show Racism the Red Card competition won a day out at the MK Dons and free first-team shirts for their efforts.
Students had to create a piece of visual artwork, write a poem, short story, song or rap, or create a video against racism. Denbigh school then chose it's winners: Rebecca Price, Jessica Williams & Hannah Giles & Harry Fresco were each winners of their age groups.
The poster designed by Hannah & Jessica was deemed the overall winner
Well done & thank you to all the students who took part and the staff who helped to organise the competition.
Please check back as I look to add more to this story as well as the winning entries.
