the Car Man: Performing Arts Trip 05/09/07
The Performing Arts trip to the MK Theatre on 5th September to watch ‘The Car Man' by Matthew Bourne was successful.
There was a mix of Dance students from year groups 10 through to 13 who viewed the performance and found the show to be an exciting and stimulating demonstration of modern dance.
A Level students are required to study Matthew Bourne's work for their examination and this gave a great insight into his choreographic technique and aspects of aural settings.
It was also a useful tool to open the GCSE students' minds to a more contemporary genre rather than that of a street dance culture.
A very enjoyable evening was had by all and we are looking forward to the next Matthew Bourne Performing Arts trip to watch the ‘Nutcracker' on 14 th February at MK Theatre .
