Children:
may move to Denbigh School as part of the 11+ transfer process before he or she is 11 years of age. However, before this is considered, the child’s current Headteacher will be asked for an assessment of the child’s overall ability to benefit from under age admission.
The number of under age admissions must fall within the 200 places offered each year and parental requests for places will be judged against the same over-subscription allocation criteria.
Children who wish to be considered for admission into a year group that is out of the age range for that student (either higher or lower) will be considered by the Governors on an individual basis according to the current numbers in the year group and individual needs.
To assist Governors in this decision, you must ask the child’s current Headteacher for an assessment of the child’s overall ability to benefit from ‘out of age range’ admission and submit this to us to support your case.
