Mathematics

The programmes of study are based on the requirements of the Mathematics National Curriculum and provide opportunities for students to develop their skills in number, algebra, shape, space, measures, data handling, using and applying mathematics and thinking.

The National Strategy for Key Stage 3 is now being implemented in Years 7, 8 and 9, which will strengthen the transition from middle schools and will enable pupils to build more effectively on their previous achievements.
