the Denbigh PSHE programme...
The School’s PSHE programme encourages and supports all aspects of students’ development
and includes opportunities for students to review their learning and to discuss
their progress.
PSHE is taught across the curriculum, supplemented by a programme of visiting
speakers.
Sex education is part of the School’s Health Education
programme.
Consultation and discussion with the governors is undertaken in accordance
with the Sex and Relationship Education guidance.
A copy of the school’s
Sex and Relationship Education Policy document is available on request.
Parents have a right to withdraw their children from sex education lessons.
Citizenship is taught through Humanities and across the curriculum, including
through tutorial and involving students in active citizenship projects.

Collective Worship:
A planned programme of contemplation, which takes the form of assemblies,
provides students with the opportunity to consider spiritual and moral issues
and to explore their own beliefs.
Parents have the right to withdraw their children from the programme of collective
worship.
An alternative arrangement for the supervision of the children
during this time will have to be agreed between the Head Teacher and the parents.
