We only recruit the very best in our field and are excited to offer the following vacancy to those who feel that are ready to make that next step in their teaching career. The Denbigh Alliance is a recently established multi academy trust, prior to which it became a converter academy trust in 2011 as an outstanding school. The Trust currently includes Denbigh School which is based in Milton Keynes and provides a comprehensive co-educational, non-faith, inclusive provision for 11-19 age groups, securing exceptional outcomes for all. This is an exciting time to join the Denbigh Alliance as we have recently been awarded the new secondary school which will open as part of the western expansion in September 2020.

The Denbigh Alliance has a track record of delivering academic success in subjects which offer students a real currency to progress into higher education or employment. We consistently outperform the Milton Keynes and national averages in terms of the results our students achieve. This academic success is built on the supportive, well-disciplined and dynamic learning environment we provide, which enables our students to focus on their studies. We believe that for a School to succeed there needs to be a genuine spirit of partnership between students, the School and parents.

Our status as a Teaching School, Maths Hub and SCITT recognises that we are among the best in the country in terms of raising standards, both within our Trust and in the schools, we support.

Interested applicants must complete the relevant Denbigh School Application form in order to be considered, a CV may be attached but will not be sufficient in itself.

Information for Newly Qualified Teachers

All NQTs, and other new staff, are invited in for a day's induction before school begins. This allows them to meet other staff and become more familiar with the school and its systems.

All NQTs have an Induction Tutor - normally their Subject Leader or an experienced member of the faculty.

Induction Tutors meet regularly, once a week, with NQTs. This is a timetabled mentoring session. Induction Tutors assist NQTs with completing the termly assessment forms and evidence portfolios. Mentors will set targets and objectives, monitor progress, observe lessons and facilitate observations of other colleagues.

NQTs are expected to attend an NQT Induction programme which runs throughout the first year. As well as providing a wide range of in-house training presented by experienced Denbigh colleagues, the sessions enable NQTs to meet with one another regularly and to work towards achieving the Teachers’ Standards.

An experienced colleague will be assigned to each NQT as a  ‘buddy’, for informal support in a coaching capacity and a critical friend.

NQTs are also encouraged to attend city-wide NQT induction meetings and other external training opportunities.

NQTs are also not expected to do cover and have a reduced timetable.

NQTs receive a laptop for their use and access to all on-site ICT training and facilities.

"Overall the provision at Denbigh for newly qualified teachers exceeds expectations."
