Careers Festival takes centre stage in Careers Week

Our recent Careers Week gave students the chance to focus on their future.  We had a visit from MK College’s Yellow Bus for those interested in college courses. Year 11 students checked out the Bus & talked to College staff at a Faculty Fair about courses & future career pathways.

Our parents also got involved, with a series of sessions where they shared insights into their roles & career journeys.

The highlight of the week was our Careers Festival which attracted over 30 organisations and education providers into school to talk to Year 10 to 13 students about career opportunities open to them.  The Meeting Hall and Activities Studio were packed with students talking to representatives about Apprenticeships, T-Levels, Universities and other career options.  They also received advice on applying for jobs and producing a CV from our in-house Careers Team.

We are very grateful to the organisations who came to meet our students.  They were:

Army, Arts1, Aston University, Beccamola Ltd, Bedford University, Buckingham University, Coventry University, De Montfort University, EKCO, Falmouth University, Hedron Network, Hertfordshire University, Impact Food Group, Kirkby Diamond, Lancaster University, Leicester University, Leonardo UK, Low Carbon, MBDA, MK Council, MKITT, MKUH, Moulton College, Northampton University, Oxford Brooks University, RAF, Sheffield University, The Parks Trust, VW Group, Woburn Estates.

Mr Steed, Headteacher said ‘A huge thank you to Miss Hamdan and our in-house Careers Team, whose hard work and creativity made the Careers Week Programme inspiring and informative. Our Careers Festival has rapidly become one of the standout events of the school year, and it was fantastic to have so many organisations in school, sharing the exciting opportunities they can offer our students.’
