GCSE History students visit the Globe Theatre
99 Year 11 students visited the Globe Theatre in London on a fascinating and informative GCSE History trip. During a packed visit the students had a guided tour of this unique historic building and completed a AQA Workshop there.

The students also completed a AQA Health and the People ‘Pest and Pestilence’ Walk along Bankside, where they saw important sites related to the Black Death and the Great Plague. They also had a bonus stop when they passed a replica of the ‘Golden Hind’, Sir Francis Drake’s ship that was the first to circumnavigate the Globe and they discovered that he was knighted on it by Queen Elizabeth herself!
Thank you to Miss Cunnington, Miss Burlace, Mrs Martin, Mr Waters, Mrs Rowe, Mrs Lewis, Mr Burgess, Miss Morrison, Mr Ozgul & Mr Hairsine for accompanying the students on the trip.
