Great War History Trip brings stories of courage & sacrifice to life

Our Year 12 and 13 A Level History students embarked on an unforgettable three-day journey through the history of the Great War.  From the poignant cemeteries of Ypres and the trenches of Bayernwald to the Battlefields of the Somme and the tunnels of Arras, they explored stories of courage, sacrifice, and remembrance.  

Highlights included the Last Post Ceremony at the Menin Gate, walking in preserved trenches, and visiting iconic memorials like Vimy Ridge Memorial and Notre Dame de Lorette (the largest French Great War Cemetery).  It was a truly powerful experience for our students which brought the Great War to life.
