Carrera wins Lucy Hawthorne Citizenship Award

Our prestigious school community prize, The Lucy Hawthorne Citizenship Award was given to Carrera Rishica Jain, Year 13 at our recent Celebration of Success Ceremony.  Carrera was presented with the award, which is given annually to a student whose attitude and commitment embodies what is meant by Citizenship, by Bruce Hawthorne, the father of Lucy Hawthorne, who the award is given in memory of.

The Award recognises the outstanding contribution that Carrera has made to our school and her local community.  She has demonstrated exceptional leadership capabilities and has consistently shown compassion, drive and initiative.  Carrera has led impactful school programmes, such as the popular Sixth Form Cultures Day and has served as a Student Ambassador for the Holocaust Education Trust, spreading the word of what happened in the Holocaust to students from across MK at a Human Rights and Responsibilities Conference we hosted.

Carrera has also served on the MK Youth Council and acted as a mentor to younger council members, inspiring them to serve their local communities.

Carrera’s dedication to making a difference has left a lasting positive impact on our school and the wider community.  She continues to inspire her peers and set a remarkable example of what it means to be a true community leader.  We were delighted to be able to recognise Carrera’s remarkable contribution with this Award.
