Sixth Formers represent MK Students on Holocaust Memorial Day

Mohkam Roda & Josef Skeens, Year 13 represented the young people of Milton Keynes when they spoke at the Holocaust Memorial Day Event held at the MK Rose.  Holocaust Memorial Day is a national commemoration day dedicated to the remembrance of those who suffered in the Holocaust under Nazi persecution and in subsequent genocides around the world.   At the event our students had the opportunity to meet the Deputy Lord Lieutenant of Buckinghamshire, Tony Hughes DL and Cllr James Lancaster, the Mayor of Milton Keynes.

Paul Salver, an Outreach Educator from the Holocaust Educational Trust invited Mohkam and Josef to represent the young people of Milton Keynes at the event.   Paul is regular visitor to the school, talking to students about the lessons learned from genocides around the World and he has recently been awarded a British Empire Medal (BEM) in recognition of his service to the community in his role with the HET.
