Team Musala takes Year 7 Junior Apprentice win
Year 7 students took on our Junior Apprentice Challenge during our Summer Term Enrichment Day with ‘Team Musala’ being declared our top entrepreneurs and lifting the trophy. The Challenge provides a real-life learning opportunity for students to test out their entrepreneurial skills by creating a healthy crisp brand aimed at their own age group.
Each team developed a full marketing strategy, including a unique logo, memorable slogan, eye-catching billboard, and then made a confident pitch presentation to a panel of judges. Throughout the project, students had the opportunity to develop a wide range of essential skills, including communication, leadership, problem-solving, time management, and the ability to collaborate effectively in a team. They also gained an introduction to marketing and branding, as well as experience in public speaking and presenting to an audience.
After much deliberation from the judging panel on what was a very close decision, ‘Team Musala’ were declared the winners after impressing with the creativity and professionalism of their concept.
Mr Hussain, Head of the Computing & Business Faculty who led the day said: ‘Every group showed creativity, teamwork and great entrepreneurial spirit throughout the task, and the energy and enthusiasm in the room was amazing. A huge well done to the Year 7 students (and their teachers) for their incredible work.
