Trinity wins Lucy Hawthorne Citizenship Award
Congratulations to Trinity Fulton, Year 13, the 2025 winner of our prestigious school community prize, The Lucy Hawthorne Citizenship Award. Trinity was presented with the award at our recent Celebration of Success Ceremony by our special guest, Jade Cheshire, a former Denbigh student.

Lucy Hawthorne, who the award is given in memory of, attended Denbigh from 2003 through to 2007, when she sadly passed away. During that time, Lucy made a real impact on the school with her infectious smile and her boundless energy and enthusiasm for anything related to the wider life of the School, especially Citizenship. Lucy’s Award is given annually to a student who best epitomises the spirit of Citizenship and community in our school and this year’s recipient, Trinity is absolutely that student!

Trinity’s time in the Sixth Form has been characterised by her leading role in events that represent our values of ‘Be Engaged, Be Kind and Respectful and Do No Harm’. Her role as a member of the Brunel House President Team has seen her encourage and organise students from across the school to represent their House with pride, as well as assisting at events involving the wider school community.
Her contribution to the Inclusion Committee culminated in the first ever ‘Denbigh Pride’ event this year, which she also superbly MC’d. The energy she brought to the event helped those who were nervous and encouraged the audience to get behind our performers. She represented the School at the Commonwealth Day Service at Westminster Abbey, attended by the King, in March.
It is also the smaller contributions that Trinity continually makes around the school that make her such a worthy winner of this prestigious award and an integral member of our Sixth Form and the wider school community. Many congratulations to Trinity.
