Year 12 Focus on their Future  

Focusing on your future was the theme of the Futures Day held for Year 12 students during our Summer Term Enrichment Day.  There was a Careers Fair with 13 organisations and Universities coming into school to talk to our Sixth Formers about what they can offer them. These included Red Bull, MKUH, Portakabin, PWC, and the Universities of Oxford Brookes, Lancaster, Aston, Nottingham Trent and Leicester.

35 Denbigh Alumni came back to school for a ‘speed dating’ event when they talked to students about the professional path they have taken since they left Denbigh.   There were also specialist sessions on UCAS personal statements, UCAS applications and Apprenticeships led by Mrs Oscroft, University representatives and Mrs Agbame, our Careers Adviser, respectively. 

Mr Gannaway, Director of Post 16 said: ‘It was a fantastic Futures Day for our Year 12 students where they could step back from their studies and focus on the opportunities available to them when they take the next steps after their Post 16 studies.  We are very grateful to all the external organisations and Denbigh alumni students who joined us to help inform and inspire our Year 12 students.’
