Year 8 talk Horse Racing at Newmarket

Year 8 students talked careers and horse racing at Newmarket Racecourse during an enjoyable and informative visit.  The students had a tour of the Racecourse, including the track itself, the paddock and the weighing room, which no-one is usually allowed to see!

They enjoyed the full racing experience from a box in the Grandstand, taking in two races and learnt about the names for different ages of racehorses.  They spoke to media professionals who were setting up the coverage of the races and other workers at the Racecourse to find out more about careers available in the horse racing industry.
