Year 7 & 8 Mathematicians achieve 17 Gold Medals in National Challenge

Mathematicians from Year 7 and 8 recorded a fantastic haul of 17 gold medals in UKMT’s National Junior Maths Challenge.  Nine of our gold medallists also qualified for the prestigious Kangaroo Round of the Challenge, which tests students’ mathematical reasoning, precision of thought and skill in using mathematical techniques.  A special mention goes to Anunay Goel, from Year 8 whose outstanding result meant that he qualified for the Junior Mathematical Olympiad which is a round above the Kangaroo Challenge.   We are proud that 218 students across Year 7 and 8 challenged themselves against the best Mathematicians across the county in this Competition.
